Whole-person care for women in Goirle.

Your body changes through every stage of life. We help you feel strong, capable, and at home in it again.

Most women carry a story about being told to wait, or that what they feel is just normal.

Luma was built on being believed and listened to.

Our sessions are private, unhurried, and shaped around your goals rather than a set protocol.

At Luma Health & Wellness, we work with women through pregnancy, postpartum, chronic conditions, and perimenopause.

We start by actively listening, and we believe what you tell us. We look at your whole body, mind, and environment- not just the issue in front of us. Then we work with you on what matters most to you, whether its lifting your toddler without pain, sleeping through the night, running again, or getting through a workday without planning around a bathroom.

Pregnancy

Pregnancy is not an injury, but it does ask a great deal of your body in a short amount of time. Your ribs widen, your center of gravity shifts, your pelvic floor carries more weight every week, and the way you move changes without you deciding to change it.

We help you stay comfortable and capable through all of it.

Common reasons women come to us during pregnancy:

  • Pelvic girdle pain, low back pain, or hip pain

  • Rib pain, shortness of breath, or reflux from pressure upward

  • Leaking, heaviness, or pressure in the pelvic floor

  • Wanting a safe exercise program that targets the deep core and pelvic floor

  • Abdominal tightness and feeling “disconnected” from it

What we work on together:

  • Gentle myofascial release to ease tension through the hips, ribs, and abdomen

  • Strength and movement that is safe for each trimester with a focus on the deep core, hips, and posture

  • Practical strategies for daily life including tasks like how to get out of bed, lift a toddler, sit at work, and sleep more comfortably

  • Preparation for birth, including breathing, positioning, and how to coordinate and relax the pelvic floor

Feeling good through pregnancy is possible. Get started today!

Postpartum

Postpartum care in the Netherlands starts well. Kraamzorg supports you through the first week, and your verloskundige follows you until about six weeks.

Then it stops.

Once postpartum, always postpartum…and always able to change.

That is the gap we work in. Much of what women deal with does not appear until later, when the early care has already ended. Leaking that starts when you return to running. Back pain that arrives once your baby is heavy enough to carry on one hip. A scar that felt fine until it did not. A core that still feels disconnected a year on.

Common reasons women come to us after birth:

  • Leaking with coughing, laughing, running, or lifting

  • Heaviness, pressure, or a feeling that something is not “sitting right”

  • Diastasis Recti Abdominis, a soft middle, or a core that feels disconnected

  • Scar tissue from a cesarean or other abdominal surgeries that feels tight, numb, or tender

  • Pain with sitting, walking, carrying, or returning to intimacy

  • Wanting to return to exercise and not knowing where to start

What we work on together:

  • Myofascial release, including gentle scar work for cesarean and perineal scars

  • Rebuilding the deep core and pelvic floor as a coordinated system, not with endless kegels

  • A strategized return to exercise, whether that means walking, lifting, running, or a class you love

  • Daily life strategies for feeding positions, carrying, lifting, and getting through the day with less pain

  • Routines that fit a true postpartum life, built around short windows of time and very little sleep

Whether you’re 6 weeks or 11 years out, there is always work worth doing. Reach out today.

Perimenopause

Perimenopause can start years before anyone names it. Sleep changes. Recovery slows. Strength that used to come easily does not. And the pelvic floor, which has done its job quietly for decades, starts speaking up.

Perimenopause is not the beginning of decline. It’s a point where what you do actually matters for your muscles, your bones, your nervous system, and your mental health.

Common reasons women come to us in their 30s-50s:

  • New or worsening leaking, urgency, or pressure

  • Heaviness or a feeling of prolapse

  • Loss of strength, muscle, and confidence in the body

  • Joint pain, stiffness, and slower recovery

  • Weight and body changes that will not respond to what used to work

  • Painful intercourse or vaginal dryness

  • Sleep, energy, and stress patterns that have shifted

  • Not knowing how to train for this body

What we work on together:

  • Strength training built for this stage, with attention to load, bone density, and the deep core

  • Pelvic floor coaching for changing tissue and changing demands

  • Myofascial release for stiffness, tension, release of trauma, and pain

  • Routines around movement, recovery, sleep, and stress that survive a busy week

A word on what this is not: We do not manage hormones, prescribe, or advise on HRT. That is a conversation for your huisarts or gynaecoloog, and we will happily work alongside whatever they recommend. What we handle is the physical side, which is the part most women are left to figure out alone.

Strength, sleep, and stability are still on the table. Reach out today!

Chronic Conditions

Some things do not resolve. They are managed, lived with, and worked around, often for years.

We are not here to cure a chronic condition, we’re here for the practical side. How you cook, lift, work, rest, and move when your body is not cooperating.

We work at your pace. There is no version of this where you get pushed through a session because it was “part of the plan”.

We work with women living with:

  • Endometriosis and adenomyosis

  • PCOS and the symptoms that come with it

  • Chronic pelvic pain and painful periods

  • Painful intercourse, vaginismus, and vulvodynia

  • Bladder pain, urgency, and interstitial cystitis

  • Pelvic organ prolapse

  • Hypermobility, including hEDS

  • Fibromyalgia and widespread chronic pain

  • Scar pain following cesarean, hysterectomy, mastectomy, or laparoscopic surgery

  • Bowel symptoms tied to pelvic tension

What we work on together:

  • Myofascial release for long held tension through the abdomen, hips, and pelvis, including scar work

  • Energy and activity strategies, so your best hours go where you want them

  • Practical redesign of daily tasks, from cooking and lifting to working, driving, and caring for your family

  • Strength work that builds slowly and respects your limits, without flaring you

  • We work at your pace. There is no version of this where you get pushed through a session because it was on the plan.

You’ve explained yourself enough times. Tell us once, and let's get to work.

Trying to conceive can take over your body, your calendar, and your mind, sometimes for a long time. We are not here to promise a pregnancy.

We are here for the body carrying you through it, and for the parts of this you can actually feel and ease.

Fertility Support

Sessions are gentle and led by you. We adapt around your treatment cycles, your energy, and how you're feeling when you arrive.

We work with women who are:

  • Preparing their body to conceive

  • Going through fertility treatment like IVF or IUI and want support alongside it

  • Carrying tension or restriction through the abdomen, hips, and pelvis

  • Living with scar tissue from earlier abdominal or pelvic surgery

  • Feeling the mental and physical weight of a long journey to conceive

What we work on together:

  • Gentle myofascial release through the abdomen, hips, and pelvis, including scar work, to ease restriction and improve mobility

  • Improving circulation to the pelvis and reproductive organs

  • Calming the nervous system and easing the tension that stress leaves in the body

  • Movement and strength that support your body without overwhelming it

  • Education, so you understand what your body is doing and feel less alone in it

Whatever the outcome, your body deserves care along the way. Tell us where you are, and let's get to work.

What Your First Session Looks Like

Sessions take place in our studio in Goirle.

We start by talking, and we take our time. Your history, your birth or births, your symptoms, your work, your goals, and the parts of your day that feel hardest right now.

1.

Then we look at how you move. Breathing, posture, and the movements that matter to you (a squat, a lift, running, getting off the floor, etc).

2.

Then we work. Most sessions include hands-on myofascial release, movement or strength work, and time spent on strategy and education. You will leave with a few clear things to do at home, chosen because they fit your week rather than an ideal one.

3.

Our Expertise

We can provide any combination of the below services.

Myofascial Release

Fascia is the connective tissue that wraps around every muscle and organ in your body. When it becomes restricted, it pulls on everything connected to it, often far from where you feel the pain. We use the John Barnes approach, which is slow, sustained, and hands on. It is not deep tissue massage and it is not forceful. It gives tight tissue time to release rather than pushing through it.

Personal Training

Exercise programming built for your body and your stage of life. We pay particular attention to the deep core, the pelvic floor, and safe progression.

That might mean a prenatal plan, a staged return to running, learning to lift heavy again, or a first strength program in perimenopause. Every program is custom and written to fit the time and energy you actually have.

Pelvic Health Coaching

We help you understand your pelvic floor and how it works with your breath, your core, and your posture. That includes bladder and bowel habits, pressure management, positioning, and how to build strength without simply gripping.

This work is external and educational. We do not perform internal assessment or treatment, and we do not diagnose. When something needs a bekkenfysiotherapeut, a huisarts, or a gynaecologist, we will tell you clearly and help you get there.

Everyday Function

We analyze your real day and the tasks inside it. These can include getting dressed, lifting your child, working, cooking, driving, exercising, managing a household, and more.

Then we work with you to find new solutions for how those tasks are done so they cost you less energy, time, and frustration. Small changes to how you move through an ordinary day often matter more than anything that happens in a session.
